TC Collier is a highly experienced Construction and Premises Expert. Specializing in large commercial and multi-residential construction disputes and serious bodily injury claims, he has served on over 300 cases as an expert witness, and dozens of cases as an Arbitrator with AAA and Mediator.
With 35+ years’ experience as a General Contractor and Owner/Developer focusing on condominiums, roads, sewers, subdivisions, offices and other major construction.
Mr. Collier graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1983 with his degree in Economics and English. While at UNC he wrote his thesis on Construction Cycles and the Supply of Loanable Funds, for which he received Highest Honors.
As a testifying Consultant, he has investigated a wide variety of premises personal injury issues, including falls, structural failure injuries, construction injuries, causation, case history and liability, codes, and engineering. Locations include retail, office, roofs and decks, stairs, parking lots, and construction sites.
His construction experience encompasses office construction, condominiums, land development and roads, single-family construction, structural redesign/repurpose, historic renovation, disaster and defect remediation, structural failure correction, and construction resumption after stoppages.
Mr. Collier's duties and oversight have encompassed most areas of construction development and business management at one time or other, including conception, design, estimating, production, scheduling, architectural and engineering oversight, contracts, risk management, insurance, subcontracting, employee management, sales, leasing, finance, accounting, business planning, and business development.
Mr. Collier's consulting practice grew out of this experience as he was asked, first to serve as an arbitrator on the AAA Board of Neutrals, and then as a consultant in a variety of legal and insurance matters.
Mr. Collier is based in Atlanta, Georgia but consults regionally and nationally, with the support of an exceptionally experienced team as needed. This support includes the very best engineering, insurance, code, industry, sub-contracting, accounting, and risk management specialists. He is active in the community in the Buckhead area of Atlanta.
